Tim and Niamh came all the way from Ireland to Cape Town for their Honeymoon.  I haven’t seen a couple that’s more in love with each other like them in a long time. You can just see it in the way they look at one another. So, you can just imagine how excited I am to do all kinds “lovey-dovey” poses with them. It was hard to bring the session to an end, because my husband and I were enjoying our time with them so much! We genuinely hope to see them again…..maybe we’ll take a second Honeymoon to Ireland.

I’ve known these two lovebirds for a long time, so you can imagine my excitement when they asked me to do a family shoot for them and a “smash the cake” session with their one year old son! Little Joshua is so adorable and curious about everything, I just can’t help myself staring at him. He is such a precious , energetic bundle of joy!

Strangely enough, I’ve had really good luck with doing shoots at Bloubergstrand on days with little or no wind. But on this day it seems my lucky streak has run out. Yes, the wind was pumping, but it didn’t stop us from doing the shoot.  The Niell family is one of the sweetest families and they where visiting Cape Town all the way from Dubai. I really hope to see them again soon.

I really love doing big family shoots, but I must admit….this one is my favorite! They made me feel like I was part of the family and the sea air was just filled with fun vibes and laughter.  I reminds me how lucky we are to live where we do and that a good relationship with one’s family is priceless.

When a photo session is organized as a gift from someone amazing who lives on the other side of the world (yes Nadine, I’m talking about you), then you just know this is gonna be a special shoot. Rita  and Schalk did incredibly well, especially with the wind making smiling difficult. Rita, you look amazing! Enjoy the love that Zara is bringing into your lives.

In 2014 I photographed the Burger family. And Sonja purchased a gift voucher for Marcolette  to have her family photographed. We had a great day at the beach together. With the fog coming in and softening the light, it gave a different feel so some of the images. The two Stander girls were such a joy! Please enjoy their pictures!

Such a sweet couple! I really had fun with them at this shoot and can’t wait for their wedding, which is only a few days away! They came all the way down from Johannesburg and our first attempt to do their engagement shoot, the weather didn’t play along, but we got very lucky on our second try!

Coming all the way from Dubai, it was a real privilege to do their family shoot! We were very lucky to have had a hot winters day to do this shoot at the beach. Their two little girls are too cute for words. I want to thank them, because families like this makes me excited to start my own one day. Seeing and capturing the love they have for one another is precious and it’s one of the things I love about my job!

I just love it when big families come together! And doing a photo shoot can be a really fun activity for everyone. This shoot was done while they were on holiday in Yzerfontein. We changed location a few times which was great because there are so many great places to shoot in the area. How can you only choose one? So, I wish this big happy family all the good things that life has to offer and I hope to meet them again one day!
